Marketing Manager- Job Opening

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will manage the promotional marketing processes to ensure execution and delivery of all promotions, events, and other marketing initiatives. The Marketing Manager will assist the Marketing Director with marketing tactics so they are consistent with the Spokane Tribe Casino’s strategic marketing plans and meet overall growth, sales, and profitability objectives.

RATE OF PAY: $23.00/Hour - $25.00/Hour (DOQ/DOE)

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for setting up offers in guest systems and ensuring accuracy.
  • Directs research efforts, both qualitative and quantitative, and analyzes results to create and/or adjust programs to effectively drive marketing success;
  • Coordinates with marketing team to engage guests with Casino promotions and events;
  • Demonstrates positive communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times;
  • Responsible for writing promotional rules and coordinating approvals with Tribal Gaming;
  • Responsible for promotional builds in all systems as required monthly;
  • Responsible for the accuracy and execution of all promotions;
  • Responsible for scheduling of marketing ambassadors on an as need basis in accordance with the promotional calendar;
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the promotional calendar in accordance to the overall marketing strategy developed with the marketing team;
  • Responsible for negotiating, bidding and acquiring promotional materials on behalf of the marketing team in accordance with property policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the Casino Management System (CMS) and relational database report writing software to access contact information and carded play history for segmentation purposes.
  • Ensure the integrity of the CMS database for accuracy and protection of proprietary guest and gaming data.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously setting own priorities to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee the proofing process of all offers to ensure the accuracy of the piece to the corresponding matrix and the message to the guest is clear and concise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field preferred, minimum of 2 years of college experience required;
  • Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of advanced marketing principles that can be applied to various special projects and player development events;
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in casino marketing promotions leadership role;
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must be proficient in office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and database query software. Proficiency to include excellent working knowledge of SQL preferred, relational database software, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook and Power Point;
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in team environment.


REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Employment is contingent on receiving and maintaining adequate licensing, including any required gaming license;
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Spokane Tribe Casino;
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations;
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Casino;
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not encouraged or permitted to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco products;
  • Refer to the Internal Control System and Policy Manuals for guidance;
  • Take the appropriate steps to report exceptions, fraud, acts of wrongdoing, and potential violations of regulations or internal controls to the appropriate levels of management;
  • Uphold high standards of ethical behavior, demonstrate an understanding of the impacts of problem gambling, and have knowledge of the Casino’s programs to address problem gambling;
  • Establish rules for promotions and events that conform to Casino policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Capable of working in an office environment but duties may require working in all casino facilities, especially the Cage, Slots, and IT, where the position may experience moderate noise and secondary smoke;
  • Capable of working for extended periods of time at a work station, performing tasks on computer and working with documents.
