REPORTS TO: F&B Assistant Manager

STATUS: Part Time/Non Exempt

RATE OF PAY: $14.00/Hour

OPENING DATE: November 22, 2019

CLOSING DATE: Open until filled

1. Welcome and connect with every customer. Discover customer needs and appropriately suggest products to enhance service and meet sales goals.

2. Prepare beverage and food of the highest quality by following standards of service for the Grab ‘n’ Go.

3. Operate cash register and handle money.

4. Clean and maintain the appearance of all merchandise and customer areas.

5. Respond to customer inquires and their requests.

6. Learn and demonstrate creating the Spokane Tribe Casino experience.

7. Must be able to multitask and assist customers swiftly and efficiently.

8. Must be able to effectively communicate and problem-solve.

9. Report to supervisor or manager with any customer complaints or issues.

10. Monitor stock and communicate with supervisor.


Must have ability to:

  • Use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to cash register and computer keyboard.
  • Communicate effectively always, with customers as well as all levels of employees.
  • Effectively and efficiently move around work area.
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Inspect and maintain areas for which responsible, as well as distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change.
  • Perform several different duties including, but not limited to, lifting, pushing, carrying and pulling loads up to 50 pounds.
  • Walk, squat, stand and twist to be able to lift, load and unload items.
  • Operate in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds and noise, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.


Basic math skills. Verbal communication and customer service skills required. Prior money-handling skills and computer skills required. Must be knowledgeable in areas regarding operation of Commercial Espresso machines and cooking equipment and have a basic working knowledge of beverages. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through completion of a high school degree or equivalent, as well as through two months of on-the-job training or equivalent experience. Must be able to obtain required food handler's certifications.


In addition to the other duties described herein, each employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Employment is contingent on receiving and maintaining adequate licensing, including any required gaming license.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Spokane Tribe Casino.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.

  • Capable of working in a deli environment on or close to the Casino floor where the position may experience moderate to loud noise and secondary smoke.
  • Capable of working for extended periods of time while standing and assisting guests.
  • Must be able to move around, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, sit, stand, push, pull and carry items in excess of 30 lbs.
